"My 7-year-old was struggling to control his emotions, which was having an impact on our whole family and was very concerning. After completing 12 sessions of play therapy his behavior has completely transformed and he is able to express his emotions in a healthy way

Do you struggle with your child’s behaviour at home or at school?

We can help with Play Therapy.  What is Play Therapy?

Play Therapy works to alleviate children’s behaviour and emotional difficulties through play. Play therapy gives children the opportunity to express and process emotions that they may not be able to express in other ways. Using children’s natural inclination to play, children can express their inner life and articulate concerns. ‘The Play Therapy Toolkit’ includes; sand tray therapy using symbols, puppets and art materials.

Who can benefit? Any child (aged 4-10) who may be struggling with emotional or behavioral needs at home or school.

What does it involve? Sessions are 1-1 once a week for 45 minutes and may last for 12 to 24 weeks. A rating scale and a referral form are completed prior to therapy. This is reviewed after 6 weeks and again after 12 to 15 weeks.

Over the last 20 years my work has focused on people related roles, especially working with those who have least, in addition to those who have the most.  With the One Singapore campaign I worked with the less privileged while also supporting global CEO's in the areas of HR, human psychology, strategic thinking and planning. My main strength is that I have considerable ability to strengthen the link between peoples challenges and the outcomes they seek.   I have the skill and capacity to motivate all I come into contact with, whether that be a five year old child or a fifty year old over-achiever.   I have a deep passion for working with children in a collaborative, transparent and inclusive manner, to build secure, positive relationships with my clients. I am currently completing 100 hours of therapy to qualify as a play therapist (Post Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy PTUK). To support my work with people I attend regular supervision with a clinical psychologist.  Qualifications: Certificate in Sandplay Therapy & Symbol Work with children, adolescents and adults, Post Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy (PTUK).
